On June 1, 2016, Westport Innovations Inc. and Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. officially merged to create Westport Fuel Systems Inc., a premier, global company for the engineering, manufacturing and supply of alternative fuel systems and components.

Established in 1995, Westport engineers advanced high-performance, low-emission fuel system and vehicle technologies utilizing gaseous fuels for transportation and industrial applications. Through its strategic relationships with engine producers, truck producers and over 20 global OEMs, as well as direct sales efforts, Westport sells advanced natural gas and propane engines, fuel systems and components to customers in more than 70 countries.
