VANCOUVER, BC – Westport Innovations Inc. (TSX:WPT/NASDAQ:WPRT), the global leader in natural gas engines, today announced it is revising its revenue expectations for the calendar year ended December 31, 2011 with consolidated revenue expected to be between $260 and $264 million. The increase from the Company’s previous revenue expectation of approximately $240 to $250 million now represents more than 80% growth compared to Westport’s reported consolidated revenue of $144.4 million for the year ended December 31, 2010. For the twelve months ended December 31, 2011, Westport expects to report a net loss per share between $1.26 and $1.28. For the three months ended December 31, 2011, Westport expects to report consolidated revenue of $96 to $100 million and a net loss per share between $0.30 and $0.32.
For the calendar year ended December 31, 2012, Westport expects year over year revenue growth of approximately 50%, with consolidated revenue expected to be between $400 and $425 million.
Westport will disclose its financial results for the third quarter and fiscal year 2011 ended December 31, 2011 on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 after market close. To coincide with such disclosure, Westport has scheduled a conference call for Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm Pacific Time (5:00 pm Eastern Time).
