Be a Driver for Change: Explore the Westport Connection Weekend Interactive Exhibits at Science World

VANCOUVER, BC – What’s the connection between natural gas and the milk on your cereal? How might natural gas help make texting easier in India? Find out this weekend when Westport Innovations Inc. (TSX:WPT / NASDAQ:WPRT), the global leader in natural gas engines, holds its Westport Connection Weekend at Science World on October 20^th and 21^st. Westport invites each visitor to Science World to become a Driver for Change by learning through interactive activities about the benefits of using sustainable sources of energy, like natural gas. This weekend is part of Science World’s Around the Dome in 30 Days, a month-long program, aimed at bringing the community together to explore the world of science and technology.

Westport is a contributor to Science World’s Bridging the Science Gap campaign by sponsoring the Transportation exhibit in the newly-opened Ken Spencer Science Park – an interactive outdoor science park dedicated to educating youth about the future of new, clean technologies. The Westport sponsored exhibit tells the “Clean Transportation Story,” with interactivity that helps demonstrate how everyday choices can impact our carbon footprint. As a leading-edge technology company, Westport became involved with Science World to foster interest in science, technology and sustainability leadership for the future generations.
