The Westport LNG Tank System is optimized for spark ignited (SI) engines. Featuring proven Westport technology, the tank provides customers with the ability to fuel even the largest SI engines on a single tank and deliver extended range. By requiring fewer tanks, providing greater fuel density, offering fuel-flexibility, and longer fuel storage, the Westport LNG Tank System also offers performance, price, and weight reduction advantages when compared to existing LNG and compressed natural gas (CNG) options. 

A single 150-gallon Westport LNG Tank System takes the place of three standard CNG tanks, lowering fuel storage costs, speeding up refueling, and reducing overall vehicle weight by 600 lbs.

Now, fleets with a mixture of SI-technology trucks and Westport HPDI-technology trucks can use the same LNG fuel for all of their natural gas trucks.
